From the recording Between Two Worlds

This is the only track on the album that was not recorded at Mirror Image. In fact it was recorded with a battery powered portable Zoom R24 outside Stater Brothers Market.

I was composing this piece when an older couple came out of the store and dropped a tip in my jar.The lady commented on how beautiful it was with that look of light in her eyes. As they walked away I said,
"Please take a CD with you."
As is the norm she responded with,
"Oh, no you can sell it!"
I said
"I want you to have it, it's a gift."
"Really??"
"Yes, really, if it moves you, you should have it."

The look in her eyes moved me as much as the music seemed to move her. It was as if there was a kneading of the heart taking place that we shared. It was one of those moments that you know something bigger than what is seen is taking place.

As they got in their car and drove away I turned on the recorder and this is that take. At the very end if you really listen, you can hear a car rumble by as I faded the song out in the mix. The guitar was plugged in direct to the recorder but the sound hole of the guitar picked up the rumble.
